Chartered Financial Planner

James has been a financial planner since 1991 and has built significant experience in personal and corporate financial planning working for some of the main names in finance.

James holds the highest qualification as a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society and was in the very first group of advisers to achieve Chartered Financial Planner status.

James set up Achieve Financial Planning Ltd in 2009 and it has been authorised since early 2010.

Away from work James keeps busy going to the gym, fitness classes, cycling, watching football, and doing the inescapable chores and DIY around his home.

James is working through his bucket list, seeing the world and completing challenges such as the West Highland Way, Great Glen Way, St Cuthbert Way & the Coast to Coast amongst others.

Bruce Paterson DipPFS

Financial Planner

Bruce grew up in Inverness, spent 4 years living and studying in Aberdeen before moving back home in 2018. Gaining an MA in Philosophy from The University of Aberdeen, he joined the Achieve team in September 2018.

Bruce holds the Chartered Insurance Institute’s (CII) Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning. He is now working towards Chartered Status.

When Bruce is not working he likes cycling, walking and spending time with his girlfriend.

Daniel McLeod

Client Support

Daniel joined the Achieve team in January 2022.

Daniel achieved a BA (Hons) in Business Management with Marketing from the University of the Highlands & Islands in 2019.

Away from work Daniel enjoys running, fishing, camping and socialising with his friends.

Morven Parker

Client Support

Morven grew up in Alness before moving to Glasgow to study.

She joined the Achieve team in June 2022 after graduating with a BSc in Mathematics, Statistics and Finance from the University of Strathclyde.

Away from work Morven likes to spend time with her friends and family, go for walks, read books and enjoy a good sunset.

Jessica Ross

Jessica grew up in Inverness before moving to Edinburgh to study.

Jessica graduated in 2022 with a degree in Economics & Business Management from Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh. She joined the Achieve team in October 2022.

Outside of work Jessica enjoys cooking & baking. In the nice weather she likes to be outdoors enjoying the sunshine and going for hikes with her friends.
