Our Process

Step 1 - Your enquiry

Please complete the Schedule a Call enquiry form on the Contact Us page or call us to arrange an initial discussion. You can explain your existing financial position and what you hope to achieve.

Step 2 - Initial Discussion

We will arrange a time to call you to explore your needs and arrange your Initial Meeting.

Step 3 - Initial Meeting

Although our services have been of benefit to others, we can't guarantee that we will be able to help you. The aim of the first meeting is to put you in a better position to decide if you wish to proceed with us.

To ensure best use of your initial meeting we will usually request some information from you in advance.

This will then free up more time during the meeting to establish:

  • where you are now.

  • where you are trying to get to.

  • what sort of lifestyle you have now and if you want it to continue in the future.

  • why this is important to you.

We will then discuss your financial objectives, and the resources you have to turn these into a reality.

Once we know your position we will show you what we do for our clients while linking back to your personal circumstances.

Your initial meeting is at our cost. This is normally at our office or online, but can be somewhere more convenient to you.

Planned Outputs are:

  • you confirm your objectives.

  • we confirm if we can help you, how we work and the likely cost.

  • it will then be up to you to say how you wish to proceed.

Step 4 - Research

If you decide to move forward with us, we will help you build your financial plan.

As part of the process you will need to invest your time and effort to provide us with the information we need. This may include completing:

  • a risk assessment.

  • an expenditure planner.

  • authorities to obtain information on your existing plans.

  • additional questionnaires.

This will allow us to clarify your existing resources and crunch the numbers to establish how much will be needed to fund your objectives.

Obtaining information from existing product providers can take time, so patience is required. A recommendation cannot be made until we have a clear picture of your circumstances.

Step 5 - Recommendation

On completing our research, we will be in a position to discuss what we have found, and the options available to meet your objectives.

Step 6 - Actioning the Advice

We will prepare any necessary documentation for your signature and then submit it to the providers as required. Any investments from cash deposits are normally made by BACS direct to the providers.

Step 7 - Ongoing Financial Planning

Your plan is not a 'one off' event. It will need to be reviewed on an ongoing basis and adjustments may be required. It is not the drafting of the plan which is important but the act of reviewing it.

Annual Ongoing Planning Meetings allow us to keep your plan on track.

Prior to these meetings you will need to invest time to update us on any information we dont have access to.

Post meeting we will confirm the ongoing suitability of your existing financial products or recommend changes in light of changes to your plan, legislation or taxation.
